Spend a long fall weekend picking antiques, hunting for vintage finds, eating your way through historic downtown Florence, and experiencing two days of markets and special events.
Florence is an easy town to explore. Stay right on historic Main Street and most of your restaurants, shops, and Saturday activities are within walking distance. On Friday morning, Junktique Off-Main is just half mile drive from downtown.
Check into your Airbnb in historic downtown Florence and park the car for the evening. Staying on Main Street puts you within a short walk of restaurants, antique shops, the Pioneer Museum, and most of the weekend's activities.

For dinner, walk over to Quincys Steak & Spirits at 121 W. Main Street. It is a classic downtown steakhouse and a good way to start a weekend centered around old-fashioned Main Street Florence.
Start early at The Pour House Coffee Shop at 117 W. Main Street. Grab coffee, breakfast, and something extra for later. It opens early enough to give you plenty of time before the market.
At about 8:40 a.m., get in the car and make the short half-mile drive south of downtown to Junktique Off-Main at 650 S. Union St. Florence, CO 81226.
The October show runs Friday and Saturday, October 9th and 10th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market features antiques, vintage finds, collectibles, and other vendors, with off-street parking available.
Get there at 9 a.m. for first pick. This is the time to look for the things that may not still be there in the afternoon: unusual antiques, architectural pieces, vintage advertising, furniture, primitives, industrial pieces, collectibles, and the odd item nobody else has figured out yet.
Once you have enough shopping outside, head back downtown for lunch at Oak Creek Grill And Tavern. Located at 114 E. Main St for sandwiches and burger options.
Then spend the afternoon exploring Florence's 20 downtown shops. Main Street and the surrounding blocks are filled with antique stores, vintage shops, architectural salvage, art, collectibles, furniture, jewelry, books, and the sort of miscellaneous old stuff that makes a good picking town worth visiting.
Don't rush it. Florence is a place where the small shop you almost skipped may be where you find the best piece of the weekend. Prices are a fraction of Denver and Colorado Springs in Florence.
Friday night, walk to ITO Japanese Steakhouse Sushi & Thai Restaurant for sushi, hibachi, ramen, Thai dishes, and a very different experience from the previous night's steakhouse. 114 W. Main St., Florence, CO 81226.
Saturday is the big downtown day.
Start with breakfast, coffee, and fresh pastries at Aspen Leaf Bakery and Cafe. The bakery is at the center of it all at 113 W. Main Street, so when you finish breakfast, you are already where you need to be.
At 9 a.m., the Vintage Fall Festival and Street Market gets underway downtown. Spend the morning walking Main Street and shopping the outdoor vendors lining the historic district.
And remember: the street vendors are only half the hunt.
Go in and out of the antique shops as you work your way through downtown. Dealers will have had another day to put merchandise out, and Saturday gives you another chance to find something you missed Friday.
Then take a break from shopping and enjoy the Florence Fall BBQ Classic downtown. Make lunch part of the event rather than leaving town, then head back out for another round of stores and vendors.
If you missed something at Junktique Off-Main on Friday, the October market is also open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., so you have a second chance to make the half-mile trip over. By late afternoon you should be sufficiently shopped, fed, and tired.
Walk over to 200 S. Pikes Peak Ave, the Florence Brewing Company, and finish the weekend the way locals do: with a drink and some conversation.
Before heading home, have one more small-town breakfast at Fat Joe's, at 115 E. Main Street.
Grab breakfast, compare everyone's favorite finds from the weekend, figure out how you're going to fit everything into the vehicle, and start the drive home.
You came to Florence for a picking trip, but over a couple days you'll experience much more than an antique show: two markets, a historic downtown packed with shops, a fall festival, BBQ, local restaurants, a brewery, and a town where almost everything is within a few blocks.
